PC users don't have to wait until Windows 7 is officially launched later this month to get their hands on Microsoft's new operating system—it's already for sale on eBay, and at cut rate prices. A copy of Windows 7 Ultimate was selling for $167.50 on Sunday, while a copy of the Professional version was going for $132.50. Numerous other eBay sellers are hawking other editions, at varying prices. | ||

@Bob - Attendees of the Windows 7 Launch event received a free copy of Windows 7 Ultimate (or Professional, depending on where the event was), 32-bit. I already have the x64 version installed (TechNetPlus), so I don't need it for my computer, but I am going to put it on my wife's laptop. The version is totally legitimate and someone could sell it on eBay if they were so inclined, although it says 'Not for Resale', and the buyer would have a genuine version of Windows 7.
Don't dismiss eBay auctions just because they're eBay. |

What if I install it on a single PC and resell the PC? |
