'A Family Affair' ad for Microsoft hits the web | |

Microsoft has released their latest advertisement featuring Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld. This one features the duo living with a suburban family to "better connect" to normal people. Only the first part of the commercial is being broadcast right now, but both part 1 and the yet to air part 2 are available in the links below, as well as a much longer version which views more like a small TV show. The company says that the campaign will eventually "turn toward communicating specifically about Windows brand and the products that carry the Windows flag." Good to hear, considering general opinion about the current $300 million dollar advertising blitz is the software giant is making "commercials about nothing." | ||

I gotta tell ya, I'm in the industry and _I_ have no idea what the hell they are trying to accomplish.
I've seen two of the Ad's so far, and both have sucked as advertisements for Vista. TL |

| Its funny to say those ads sucked for Vista when that is not at all what they are advertising. They are making PC funny and hip again instead of what Apple has been doing for years with mudslinging. I ask you how can you not like PC (bill gates)! These are awesome! |

I love Seinfeld, so I'll watch and enjoy anything he puts out.
That said... the commercials are confusing at this point. HOWEVER, I saw my wife watch both ads and she laughed several times. She's not a techie... and perhaps thats why I (and others) don't "get them". |
