Subscribers to TechNet and Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN), who pay hundreds annually to the Microsoft for the right to download software for testing and development purposes, called the move a "farce," a "slap in the face" and "ludicrous." In a repeat of a February donnybrook over SP1 (Service Pack 1) for Windows Vista , IT professionals and developers are blasting Microsoft's decision to withhold the final version of Windows XP SP3 (Service Pack 3) from them until after it's released to the public. | ||

I'm telling you....I'm really wondering whose running the shop over there.
Add to these incidents the fact that MAPS subscribers were recently distributed full versions of Vista Business SP1 rather than the upgrades they were previously given. Very nice move by MSFT, purportedly in response to Partner requests. In the licensing details, however, you still could only install them on PC's that already had a qualifying OS on them - just like an upgrade. Bill needs to get his house in order. Some silly things are occurring that are causing needless antagonism throughout the partner channels. |

The intent of the article is right... TechNet and MSDN subscribers *should* be offered any "updates" first. They've paid for that access and they're not being provided for. Any chance of a class-action suit?
I'll also include the SP3 beta testers in that first group, as we were "hung out to dry" a month or two ago :-( Unfortunately, Billy boy has not been involved with the day-to-day operations for quite a number of years now... but those that are in charge need to get their priorities right. |

| As I write this it is April 22nd, one day after MS claims to have provided XP SP3 to OEMs. As with Vista SP1, MS's new definiftion of OEMs does not include the many OEM partners unless they are huge. So, we have to wait. MS is treating us all worse all the time. Not only do we pay about twice as much for OEM software from authorized distributors we apparenlty are not important enough to MS anymore. Microsoft is an arrogant ass of a company. |

Well it seems that the Yahoo operation is falling apart; if so you could see big changes at MS in 6 months/ 1 year.

| Maybe it's just me but it seems like ever since Gates stepped down and put goofy Ballmer in charge Microsoft has been having all sorts of problems. |
