Contrary to rumors going around the web regarding an alleged screencap of an internal Sharepoint site listing the Vista SP1 release date, it's going to be a while before the general population sees SP1. Biplab Paul has the scoop:

#2: That would probably be a violation of AW's forum policy. Besides, anyone who's been around will know where to go if they really want it.

#4: You've never noticed those posts from Parkkker just after I hand him his ass, and all that's in the post is a blue tag at the bottom saying the post was deleted for violating AW's AUP?

Do any of my esteemed colleagues on this forum know when the OEM versions of Visa with SP1 will be available for purchase on, say, NewEgg?
I'd like to build some computers for the office but I'd hate to have to update them after they're already loaded with a clean install of Vista.
I'd welcome any advice.

Since the OEM's are getting it first, one would hope the OEM version would be for sale soon.
But, that's logic. We're talking Vista SP1 and Microsoft here :)
