Firefox 3 Beta 1 now available: what's inside | |

In case you missed it, Firefox 3 Beta 1 went live in late November. As a regular Firefox user I've been using it and have been extremely impressed with the speed and reliability of the latest release. So impressed in fact, that I deleted Firefox 2 from my Mac today. Before we get on to the version 3 enhancements, I have to say that on my Mac running Leopard, Firefox 3 is much more stable than version 2 ever was. For instance, when using version 2 I used to have to force-quit at least once a day, with version 3 I've had to force-quit about once a week. | ||

when using version 2 I used to have to force-quit at least once a day, with version 3 I've had to force-quit about once a week
LOL! Still with IE6 and have to force-quit once a month! :-P |

I don't drive a toyota, so I've never once had to push-start one.

| Got to say that I have never had to force quit it on Windows not once, a few times with IE but even then nothing worth noting. |

| I guess that mean Firefox 2.0 will be End-Of-Lifed in January and the forced upgrades will begin in February. |

| One thing I prefer about FF is that, if it locks up, it locks up by itself and everything else is fine. When IE decides to take a dump, it kills itself, Explorer, the task bar, etc. Your system is practically useless until you kill IE. Awesome design decision, incorporating the browser deep into the OS. |
