A proposed settlement of the antitrust case against Microsoft Corp. would still allow the software giant to protect its Windows operating system monopoly and boost its Internet presence, an executive from archrival America Online testified on Wednesday. AOL Vice President John Borthwick backed alternative remedies offered by nine states still pursuing the case that aim to level the playing field for non-Microsoft software. | ||

Oh I completely agree!
We must stop the evil empire from not leveraging their Windows monopoly for the first time in their history. We must stop those bastards from creating an open, standards based framework that makes the creation of robust distributed applications almost trivial. We must stop them from using their massive resources to create tools and an infrastructure in 2 years that would have taken other companies 5-7, then providing those tools and infrastructure for free. We must stop them from providing the free basis for an entirely new B2B economic opportunity. We must stop Microsoft from making developer's lives everywhere exciting and joyous because they can develop applications in weeks that would have taken months. We must stop them from truly innovating. DAMN THEM! |

We must also stop the evil Microsoft from starting countless additional cottage industries, where an entrepreneur can realize their full potential.
We must stop the Beast of Redmond from making computers so compatible that they are finally affordable to all but the poorest Americans. We must stop the dastardly deeds of this dictatorship... which is fully responsible for infecting so many less fortunate countries with modern computing and a way out of poverty for so many. KILL THEM! |
