#3 - Same here. I sent an email to Microsoft support and they sent me a replacement for my old mouse. Must be a common problem.
I now have two of these office keyboards and two intellimice... bought an extra set to bring into work because I hate the Compaq keyboards they give us. :) My experience with black keyboards has overall not been good... the lettering usually wears off the keys. |

I also have one of those old Zenith "Cast Iron" keyboards. You're right, they can't be beat. I just wish there was a way to turn off that darned beeping noise _permanently_. Ok, back the MS Stuff... I use the Office Keyboard. Probably the best market-typical keyboard you can get right now and it has features that are truly useable. But, this project obviously wasn't thought completely through... A wireless mouse, but corded keyboard. What's up with that? No MacOS X support? What's up with that? The price is fine. TL |

#9 - The new Internet Pro keyboard is quite nice. It uses the same keyswitches as found on the Office keyboard. But it doesn't have the scrolling wheel.
#3/#12 - Hmm, the University lab I used to work in had Zenith computers and those old keyboards were really quite crappy. The beeping noise can't be turned off, and it is annoying. Better keyboards were the Northgate Omnikey Ultra, and the IBM M series. But even then the new MS keyboards are actually superior to either of those even if they don't weigh as much. #12 - The lack of Mac OS X support is most likely entirely the fault of Apple's proprietary system. Perhaps if they had an open system and were willing to document interfaces, companies would not have such trouble porting to that platform. |

When will they release more Natural keyboards is the question...I would like a newer version of the Natural Pro, maybe even wireless would be nice....
Anyone agree? |
