Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) will be a standard service pack that will include security updates, hotfixes, as well as limited other changes focused on improving quality. The Technology Adoption Program (TAP) is looking for customers and partners actively test and provide feedback on Windows Vista SP1 to help us prepare for its release in the second half of CY07. Customers must be willing to provide feedback and deploy pre-release builds into production environments. | ||

| To MS if you are listening: Many business customers including me want Bitlocker and Subsystem for Unix based applications in the Business edition with SP1. Bitlocker becomes out of reach of ALL small and medium businesses if it's only in the Enterprise edition, since Ultimate is aimed at the consumer. And regarding SUA. Give me a break. Services for Unix 3.5 is still a freely downloadable for XP Pro, isn't it? Then give me a reason to upgrade to Vista Business from XP Pro if I cannot migrate all my Unix apps. |

Ultimate is not just aimed at consumers. It is a superset of the home and business SKUs, and is targeted for both markets. If there's a feature the other SKUs lack, whether home or business, Ultimate is the upgrade path. This post was edited by n4cer on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at 00:45. |

| Business and Home Premium should contain all the features between themselves. Ultimate should just combine them. But it's not like that. And Ultimate is being launched on 30th Jan, it IS NOT available for volume (mass) license even if companies want to. |

If the above statement about volume availability is still referring to the situation before the 30th, that's possible. If you mean at all, that's not the case.
