When you use Windows Internet Explorer 7 to visit a Web page, the computer may respond very slowly as the Phishing Filter evaluates Web page contents. This problem occurs when one or more of the following conditions are true: The Web page contains many frames. You browse many frames in a short time. Internet Explorer 7 evaluates the whole Web page when you browse a frame. Therefore, CPU usage may be very high. | ||

| This is why I turn off the phishing filter on my own computers. I'd rather reclaim a few CPU cyles and milliseconds by using the phishing filter that God gave me at birth. It's a good feature for other people, but not for me. I can't stand even the suspicion that my web pages are loading more slowly. |

I always felt that thing slowed down access. I guess I was right.
I installed the patch. It does certainly help. Before the patch it almost felt like DNS delays, but AFTER the page showed up. TL |
