Microsoft's highly-anticipated "Zune" portable media device is set to make its first official appearance at an invite-only press event Sept. 14. The unveiling will follow the introduction of a completely revamped iPod lineup by Apple just two days earlier. Although Microsoft itself has remained tight-lipped regarding the iPod competitor, little is not already known about Zune, which is being manufactured by Toshiba. | ||

lets take a big guess how this will go...
Critics, arm-chair quarterbacks, and msft-haters-in-hiding will call Zune every name in the book. But at Christmas, Zune will go from last place to second place... in the marketplace. This post was edited by mooresa56 on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 04:23. |

#1, I agree...they won't even give it chance
MS will be in the #2 stop without having prior market share, which is amazing if you think about it |

| I wish I could see the reason why it will be desirable. I don't see it from what I've read about it, unless there's something they still have up their sleeve. The "killer app" seems to be the WiFi sharing, but I must be missing something. Even if it's a really great feature, it won't be that useful if most people around me have an iPod.... |

| Well its now "announced" the feature set is good and the software looks promising, still looks awful and why they hell is there a brown one! |
