I agree Tech Larry--well, actually I'm still using 2000 but imagine it being relatively similar. I actually had better experiences back with NT. Now, yes, I don't get bluescreens in 2000, but that doesn't mean Outlook, IE, Explorer, or all three don't crash and bring down the system. The stability of 2000 and XP is nothing special in my mind. On the other hand, X is a beauty. I never minded MacOS crashes because they were quick to restart from, a snap to fix the problem, and I save often, but Wow, the improvement of X is amazing--I can throw tons and tons of crap at it, and it just won't break. I know I've had good luck but I would say that I have kept my X mchine on 80% of the time since Public Beta and have not had a single crash that impaired the system and required a reboot. Not even when Classic crashes has my system frozen.
