Is Google going to make Microsoft look good? | |

Why do we like Google? Is it because they are the “do no evil” company? Is it because they are not Microsoft? Is it because they make our lives easier through their search, email, and other services? The fact of the matter is that a lot of people from users, to developers, to workers, and to investors like Google. | ||

| Sorry I don't. I think google is not looking out for ints customers. All they are interested in now is making money and impressing the investors. The search engine(in my opinion) is falling apart. the google earth and google maps are HUGE resource hogs, google talk is nothing to talk about used it for a while and moved back to msn and aim. |

I don't like Google either. Never have. Their search results and returns have never been as relevant or accurate as Yahoo's for me.
Their other services....? Who gives a flip - their email, like any similar to it is of no consequence to me - I have operated my own Exchange Servers for years and assess E2K3 and Outlook 2003 to be the best available - with even more to come from E2K7 and OL2K7. I think that Microsoft's mapping services, SDK and the entire family of related products and tools is better and certainly easier/cheaper to integrate to our own enterprise and applications - we've used them for years and love the direction they are headed in. Since we use nothing Google has to offer - it just does not have any relevance, or role in our company, or personal lives. This post was edited by lketchum on Thursday, August 03, 2006 at 16:43. |

| Was now the time that Microsoft said that MSN Search would be relevant? Microsoft is every bit as guilty about only trying to please investors. Over promise, and under deliver. Judging by the stock performance I think the investment community is getting wise. Will they eventually do the same to Google? |
