Developers are set to get their first chance to play with Microsoft's new web design tool later today. The company is ready to release a Community Technology Preview of Expression Web Designer, one of three new tools designed to compete with rival Adobe's Dreamweaver. Microsoft hopes the Expression toolset - which also includes Expression Graphic Designer and Expression Interactive Designer - will lure designers away from Dreamweaver and Flash. | ||

Downloaded to give it a try and it wouldn't install. Then i read this:
Supported Operating Systems: Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1; Windows Vista; Windows XP Embedded Service Pack 2 So before you download the 230MB preview make sure your system can run it. |

| yeah it is a shame it doesn't work on very much else yet. Looks promising, although calling it a Dreamweaver replacement right now is looking too far ahead of itself. |

These requirements don't look very hard to meet:

| The copy i downloaded would not install. I extracted the exe manually and there were a ton of errors. I downloaded the file again and had the same problem. Looks like there is a problem with the file that I downloaded from MS. |
