Thanks Tim. "(January 18, 2002 update) The PowerToys download is currently unavailable. Please check back on January 31, 2002 for the updated version of this download." So let's keep an eye out everyone! Updated: 7:51 PM EST Microsoft has posted a new notice shortly after we posted our story here:(January 31, 2002 update) PowerToys will not be available today as previously stated here. We're sorry, because we know you like them a lot. PowerToys are currently being improved, and will be available for download in the spring. Even though the link isn't on the page, you can download the old ones here. | ||

| Let's not forget that this is a charitable, unofficial project run by one person at MS. So maybe the Great Expectations should be great expectations instead. Also, I have to think that someone at MS was monitoring this site, since MS's site was not updated when ActiveWin posted the notice but was soon after. Too much of a coincidence. |

| It happened very soon after the post here; also, notices like that on Web sites are overlooked all the time. It wouldn't have surprised me if it had remained as it was for weeks. |

| Maybe it's expanded now, but I'm almost sure during the beta it was mentioned that this was basically one person's hobby and that not too much should be expected of it. This was back at the time before the first PowerToys XP beta came out or it was even known if there was going to be one. |

Does anyone know what the REAL story is behind this? MS has surrounded this whole PowerToys thing in mystery...

Maybe they stole code from Apple for the install and it wipes out files on any secondary harddrive partitions when you do an install? :-)
