Thanks Josef. This link takes you to a Polish site which claims that the Microsoft Windows XP logo is featured on Coca-Cola bottles in Poland. The image here is a scan of one of those labels. It's actually an interesting story behind the cocaine part of CocaCola, and it illustrates the insanity of the USA's war on drugs.
Coca-Cola, which was first created in 1886, contained cocaine from the coca plant and caffeine from the kola nut. CocaCola Inc. decided that concaine was an expensive ingredient (good thing they got out when they did, it's a bit higher-priced now adays...) that could be done without. In the early 1900's, CocaCola dropped concaine from the recipe, and, ironically, was sued by the United States Government for false advertising. Since Coca-Cola no longer contained Coca, and only Kola, CocaCola was forced to put the "drug" back into the drink or face massive fines. It wasn't until years later that CocaCola settled with the government and was allowed to stick with caffiene. Caffeine, by the way, is very - VERY - similar to cocaine both chemically and in their respective effects on the human body. (So similar, in-fact, that many drug tests that detect cocaine also detect high levels of caffeine...) It's only the insanity (and brainwashing) of the drug war which suggests that cocaine is some evil drug that does nothing but destroy lives. The movie AntiTrust was so incredibly bad. Which is too bad because Tim Robbins is a good actor.
The problem with Antitrust was that if these idiots were programming using Open Source, why would Tim Robbins have to hire a goon squad to steal their source? He'd just go out to www.stupidprogrammer.com and download it for free. The movie was made by people who didn't understand the computer industry... probably Linux folks who have wet dreams thinking that Bill Gates wants their source code. |
