Cyberlink Releases First PowerDVD XP 4.0 Patch | |

Cyberlink has just put online the first patch for the recently released PowerDVD XP 4.0. This patch updates every version of PowerDVD XP 4.0 Deluxe to the latest build 1213. It is supposed to fix a wide variety of bugs that affected the 4/6 channels sound modes. The patch works with every language version of PowerDVD XP 4.0. Click below to start your download: | ||

| It's very common for the overseas (usually HQ) locations to have these things first. Happens all the time, especially with firmware updates. DL is too slow to have tried it yet, but there's no reason to doubt that it's for all languages. |

| i had the english version and when I applied the patch, it changed the program for the french version all by itself..... weird, i guess it looked for the language setting in windows... but I'm happier with the french version anyhow |

| I too can confirm it works fine for English. I still contend whoever dreamt up the interface for this program should be rounded up and shot, but the patch worked. |

#3 - Honestly I don't think it's exagerration.
Whether or not it's Digital River is also irrelevant. I did read the form carefully, unchecked the box but submitted it with missing info. The form returned with all of my information pre-inserted, but the box had been rechecked. Because I did not completely review it again, nor was I offered an opportunity after hitting submit to review the total order, it was automatically charged. I'm sorry, but their method for placing and handling orders is a scam. Again, do not do business with this company as they are unethical. |

| No problem in XP here. What did you use for the original installation? I used pdvdxp4deluxe.exe. |
