Microsoft Poised to Deliver a New Windows Vista Build | |

Testers will soon have a new Community Technology Preview build, the second one that Microsoft has issued for its next-gen Windows client. Beta 2 is looking like December, sources say. Microsoft is poised to release to testers the second Community Technology Preview (CTP) release of Windows Vista, paving the way for a second full-fledged beta, which is now expected in December. Robert McLaws, president of Interscape Technologies, said that Microsoft released CTP 2 of Vista on Thursday night. "Build 5231 (aka Windows Vista October CTP), compiled on Oct 4, 2005, was posted to the Connect website a short while ago," McLaws said. | ||

| What Mr. Da Costa forgot to mention in this posting and on his blog is that the Vista bits that were available were only for Microsoft Vista TAP testers and not for the rank-and-file Vista Beta Testers, and that we'll probably have to wait until after November for any new downloadable bits. Nice job, Andre - next time, be more succinct in your posts! |

| scottkin, Andre didn't write the post - it's an article from Microsoft Watch. Plus, 5231 is will be available next week for beta testers. |
