Virtual Earth is a new map and search system released by Microsoft. Virtual Earth brings together a number of components that allow the user to find out "What is here?" and "Where are the nearest things to here?" The components consist of maps, aerial imagery, photos, business directories, ratings and reviews. | ||

| Too bad some of the maps they used are over 6 yrs old. My place of business--the actual building--isn't even on their maps. It's been there over 6 yrs....nice job, MS. |

The maps are free ones provided by the USGS. Goolge uses commercial maps that have ads all over them.
Also, not all the maps are that old, some are actually newer than what Google has, just depends on the area. |
