After nearly nine months, the Monad team has released Beta 1 of the Microsoft Command Shell. Although initially promised for release at the end of the month, the Monad team has worked hard to release Beta1 to BetaPlace ahead of schedule! AW: The Beta 1 release includes builds for x64 and IA-64 systems in addition to the previously supported x86 build. | ||

Actually I believe MJ said a version would ship with the next rev of exchange.
besides this is just beta 1. Not that I'm complaining, I much prefer they release a new rev of this bad boy every 6 months so we can start exploiting it as much as possible. |

| Quux, OpenHeaded knows that. He's referring (quite sarcastically, I imagine) to Mary Jo Foley's MicrosoftWatch/eWeek article from last week in which she took Muglia's quote and twisted it into her brand of shock journalism to mean that Monad would miss inclusion in Longhorn (which will be released much sooner than "3-5 years"). Your explanation is well-detailed and accurate, though, IMO, and I wish that you'd forward it over to Ms. Foley so that she, too, may become as enlightened as the rest of us. |
