Sometimes true leaders must boldly proclaim a new direction to their followers, then walk off a cliff to prove their determination. For me, that explains Microsoft's introduction of the awkwardly named Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. This new version of Windows will almost certainly never attract more than the tiniest sliver of existing Windows users. And it will evaporate as soon as Microsoft delivers the next full Windows revamp, a long-overdue project code-named Longhorn, in the second half of 2006. | ||

My oh my....down my way we'd call this stuff, "Pure'D Bovine Scatology..."
...LH will be released in both x86 and x64 versions at the same time and on the same media - which is installed will depend upon user choice and "their" available hardware... Given the depth of the driver SDK, and turn-up time to LH, it is expected that most "reasonably" modern hardware will be supported. Similarly, Office 12 will ship with native support for x86 and x64 installations. Comparing a modest point release of OSX with LH is just about as silly as one might get [IMO]. |

#1 Tiger is delivering a lot of bugs and headaches to people today. Never, ever trust an Apple OS that doesn't end in .9. All the rest are just beta versions.
#2 Nero 6 works fine on x64. While driver support is lacking, some benchmarks are amazing! People will be using it. And saving themselves hours a day. I think AMD had it right in aiming at the server market first. The number of supported drivers needed are few and the results are spectacular. |

What a lousy review. This guy has to borrow a computer from HP. Then, he complains that the computer has neither a better video card nor more RAM in order to review a 64-bit game and a 64-bit application. Sheesh. Another stringer trying to make a name for himself - and succeeded - he sucks.
