What else is he suppose to say? With the market for portable media player growing I am sure that other companies will try their hand at it. But at this stage of the game it is all about marketing and surely Apple has a leg up in that category. Sure there may be better players out there but who cares? They don't have the cool factor. With that said I have an IRiver H120...doesn't matter what I say people stil ask "is that an Ipod?"

The other day I saw a portable CD player at Target for $10. The point being, the Sony Walkman revolutionized the way we listened to music when I was a kid... and it's success didn't last.
The same is true for the iPod. At some point, the technology that is in the iPod can be mass produced for $20 in Taiwan. |
