Steven P. Jobs says that Microsoft's proposal to settle antitrust lawsuits would allow it to dig into the education market, one of the few Microsoft does not dominate. To Apple Computer, the proposal by Microsoft and plaintiffs to settle more than 100 class-action antitrust lawsuits against Microsoft is riddled with flaws and carries a big competitive threat. | ||

This is the first time I've ever seen a 'punishment' allow the offending company to break into (in a big way) the one area it doesn't dominate and destroy competition. What a mess... |

| Well here's a stat for your poll... every school I went to used Windows, no macs to be found. Then again, it was in a wealthier snobby community too, I hated that part. ;-) |

Maybe the best thing is for this case to go to court. I think Microsoft has a pretty good chance of acquital.

| Oh, I'm not saying that MS can wipe them out or anything, just saying that Apple is not nearly as present in the education system as they once were (and as they are portrayed as being in this article) |

| I would also like to point out that the last piece of Apple hardware I saw in a school (well, more than one machine, that is) was an Apple II |
