Apple to Release Mac OS X iMedia Center Edition | |

Apple Computer today announced new technologies designed to enhance and extend the experiences delivered with the Mac OS X operating system, offically named Mac OS X iMedia Center Edition. An early version of a set of technologies, code-named "Apple Juice," which includes a new user interface to enable consumers to access their music, videos and photos from anywhere in the room. "Apple Juice" also will enhance the Mac OS to deliver new TV experiences on the Mac platform. | ||

This was quite decent... right up until Apple Juice which just gave it away.
I was expecting to see "Windows Stable Edition" but I guess that's far too obvious as a April Fool's joke. |

Microsoft: We are hereby officially launching Windows XP Starter Edition on April 1 News Outlet: Ha! Ha! Good one! Almost had us with that April Fool's joke! Microsoft: No really... it's gone gold! News Outlet: Suuuure you are! Like anyone would really create an OS that can't run more than 3 processes and doesn't support resolutions above 800x600 etc for anything other than a joke! Microsoft: But we really have created such an OS... we're innovative! |

| Perhaps Intel and AMD should take the innovation lead from Microsoft and apply it to their CPU's... AMD64 Starter Edition - which will only allow you to run 10 processes, will limit you to 8 registers and only allow you to page 256MB of RAM. Then perhaps we can get companies like NetGear, Dlink etc on board and we can have Network Card Starter Edition - which will only allow you to send 100 packets a minute. Fairly quickly we can get all the hardware vendors on board and we can have a real Starter Edition PC! What a wonderful innovative world we could all live in! |

I would like to commend ClosedStandards for finally breaking away from his ?2? years of solid single-minded attempt at humor.
As others have said... kudos on the longevity. But its nice to see you have at least TWO jokes in your brain. |
