During Microsoft's annual OEM executive summit at company headquarters in Redmond, Wash., Allchin, group vice president of platforms, advised the vendors to shift development resources into creating computing "experiences" through which they can differentiate their offerings, rather than beating each other up mainly on price and spewing out product specs. | ||

| Just thought this was curious, if anyone else saw the Symantec ad in the article--a couple of the guys in the background should have had the yellow suits like the guys in the foreground, but they have gray/black suits... maybe it would have been too cluttered when they colored those yellow as well? |

#3, That market was not evolved enough.
These days however, we are finally getting to the point where the market is ready for this new kind of innovation. Ive always been of the opinion if MS hasnt done it/said it, then there is a chance the market isnt ready..... One thing MS has always been leagues ahead of everybody else in: Marketing. They know how and when to market a product.........You just cant take that claim away from them...... <queue the flames 'bout LongHorn...> |

Not working out? Most of the corporate world would LOVE to have Apple's user base and the loyalty they have for the company. Apple is also quite profitable most of the time. Seems to me things are working out quite nicely for them. TL |
