Microsoft is continuing to grab top developer talent. The latest catch: Open source stalwart Jim Hugunin. Hugunin created Jpython/Jython; codesigned the AspectJ aspect-oriented-programming language while working at the Xerox PARC research center; and is the moving force behind IronPython, the implementation of the Python language targeted at .Net and Mono. | ||

What the hell are you people talking about?
Isn't it possible that Microsoft hired this guy because he's a damn good programmer, and that it had nothing to do with the fact he was involved with OSS? Get a grip people. Microsoft hiring somebody who worked on OSS says absolutely nothing about OSS. |

Fact check: After looking at the links, there is no OSS cloning of VB (in the pre.NET sense) or VB.NET. There is the OSS development environment SharpDevelop which allows one to develop in .NET languages and now has a VB.NET forms designer tool. |
