You're probably aware that Microsoft currently ships three embedded operating systems—Windows CE 3.0 and Microsoft® Windows NT® Embedded 4.0 being the most visible of the three. Both these operating systems are being updated. The next version of Windows CE is known by the codename "Talisker." The next version of Windows NT Embedded is Windows XP Embedded. This column, then, will focus on how to build embedded systems using Talisker and Windows XP Embedded. | ||

| Talisker is the OS core. Pocket PC 2002 still uses CE 3.0 as its OS. Talisker would be CE4.0 or something similar. I think if I read right it will be called Windows CE.Net once it gets released. |

| Oh and if you read the article it explains their codename naming convention. Talisker is actually a whisky. Pretty funny guys over there at MS. |

Well thats good to hear. I learned that concept a long time ago. And most of it spent with Guiness. So fair is fair you can send me a case of the draught extra stout.
Oh you may also want to look into getting a girlfriend. Mine keep smy life very busy indeed! |
