Copernic has just released a brand new revision of its outstanding search software. Copernic 2000 revision 4.56 which is already available in several languages and in several versions (from the free to the pro one) contains several enhancements and bug fixes listed below:
- New Use Local Pages command in the File section of the main menu
- Improved Open in a New Window command in the File section of the main menu to open more than one selected Web document
- Added New Announcements command in the Help section of the main menu which opens a page on the Copernic.com Web site to see the latest new announcements
- Ability to customize the software to use other default browsers in addition to Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator
- More flexibility when customizing Internet Explorer integrated features
- Possibility added for administrators to set a maximum default number of simultaneous connections for their respective network users in order to use less bandwidth with the software
- Some minor changes to improve software stability and increase the speed of execution of several functions (search refining, image downloading, engine updating, etc.)
