NEW YORK (Reuters) - Apple Computer Inc. will delay global sales of its new iPod mini digital music player until July due to stronger-than-expected demand in the United States, Apple said Thursday.

It's certainly available. Simply scarce because of huge demand. In fact, the iPod Mini is only 5 slots behind the Muvo on Amazon's Top Seller list (#10 and #15) of Electronics.
Wait a second... you say 5 positions back?
Oh, did I forget to mention that Amazon tracks each color as a separate product!
Silver is 5 positions back (#15). The 15 GB iPod is 2 positions back (#12). Pink is at 51. Blue is at 53. The 20 GB is at 75. The 40 GB iPod is at 76. The Green Mini is at 104. Hell... even the armband is at 181.
There are more iPods in the Top 100 then Creative, iRiver, Rio, and Archos have of all of their audio products combined.
I know six people who purchased, received, and love this vapor you speak of.

And by the way, the Muvo2 isn't available directly from Amazon... You actually can purchase at the site, but indirectly, from their Amazon Marketplace sellers. Whereas Amazon does sell the iPod Mini directly on a first come, first serve basis.

Oh... and did I forget to mention that only one Marketplace seller is selling it for $199 but they just launched so they have NO RATING!
Every other seller is selling the Muvo2 for $280.00, $299.95, or $309.00.
Both sellers selling at $280 are also JUST LAUNCHED and have NO RATING (and that's $31 more than the iPod mini by the way).
The two with ratings are selling the muvo2 at $50.95 and $61 MORE than the iPod Mini.

Buy a Mini. It can frequently be cheaper, is actually sold by reputable retailers, and if you don't like it, you can sell it to someone in Europe and make a handsome profit.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3088862408&category=48451
In this specific case, the profit is $91 (US) or approx. 37% of the retail price.... that's a better rate of return than most any investment vehicle today... and certainly much lower risk.

"There are reports of some problems with the iPod mini..."
Wait... Are you telling me that people b!tch on the web?!! My god!! And By the "And Many, Many more..." you are referring to the discussion board with only 14, FOURTEEN!!!, unique posters and a total of 34 comments, right? And you did mention that of these 14 people a couple of them do not have the problem or do not even own an iPod and that many of these people have had their problem resolved, right?
I thought you were saying that it was nonexistent vapor. The fact is you are now shifting to a new complaint because you KNOW that the Mini is outselling everything.
As for the labels... What is your point? Apple has taken the hardest line with the labels, and this problem faces everyone. So how does that spell the end to the iTMS or its HUGE, HUGE, HUGE lead over everyone else? It doesn't. And your attempts to overlook that are pathetic.

"Lighter than the iPod mini."
Yeah, I was breaking my back yesterday lugging around that extra HALF OUNCE... So I spit, and lightened up the load I was hauling.

But it does exist, right?
Why are you always running away from your comments?

Keep jabbering away, the more you do so the more apparent it is that the iPod is still the most popular, and your whining does nothing to change that.
You've claimed that the iPod Mini doesn't exist, that the iTMS would be surpassed by WalMart within a week, etc... How can I acknowledge any of your comments when you are likely to reverse yourself in a minute or two.

Getting rather repetitive, Parkker, and still no one cares... Maybe it's BECAUSE you keep repeating twaddle.

You have NO grasp of reality!
I am willing to address this issue, but we have no accurate sense of the problem. Is it 400 people? 800 people? 2000 people?
And how many Mini's have been sold? We'll find out tomorrow, but I'm guessing 300-400 thousand.
Since no other player has 3 or more community sites of their own, plus a discussion board on their own company site, plus rabid Windows' coverage, we can't really know if there are issues with other players (not to mention they are having a hard time selling them so they have few users)... However, I do note many people over at Neowin complaining they've had the exact same problem with Mini Disc players.
So... is it a big problem? We don't know but probably not.
Is Apple ripping people off? Certainly not, they are investigating the issue, have acknowledged it, and are replacing the units (even you acknowledged that).
By the way, you apparently care so ... have you purchased a Mini? No, of course not, you are obsessed with Apple from the sidelines. You are not discussing reality, you are spreading FUD, and it's not even your concern. According to your very own words.

by the way, Parkker, did you even realize that your Muvo2s that are cheaper than the iPod at Amazon have the 4 GB stripped out and have been replaced with 256 MB Flash or nothing at all?
Ha, ha, ha!!
