Hello everyone! I just wanted to mention AcademicLonghorn.com, a new community site I am involved with, devoted to students around the world! The intent of the site is to show off Project Hurricane, the ASP.NET backend which the site is based upon, and to allow a place for students to connect, discuss and learn about Longhorn. And this is different from Apple doing the same thing with their platform or Sun with its platform, how?
It's about freaking time that Microsoft development was taught in CS departments, since at least half of CS students will end up writing code for Microsoft's platforms professionally. I'm sick to death of the handicap that Apple and Java have had for years. |
