K newspaper, The Times, has pitted a Mac and a Windows PC in a head-to-head battle. Reporters Nigel Kendall – a "Mac user who has been spoiled by simplicity for years", and PC user Stuart Miles – "a Windows-based PC man proud to say that my machine is always in pieces", swapped computers for a week, and the Mac was the clear favourite. | ||

Parker have you spent some quality time getting to know a Mac running OS X? I mean not just trying to do it in the context of "OK now, this is how I do it in Windows."
I am a Windows user, but I have used Mac computers at work and OS X (in my opinion) is superb. It takes time getting rid of old habits when you are really used to an OS, but if you take your time and experiment with OS X with objectivity, you could find yourself liking it. Now, don't think I'm preaching to you about running to the store to buy a mac so I can make my point. Don't take my posting personal, just a comment. Wiz |

The question was: HAVE YOU USED MAC OS X?

How much have you actually used OS X? And do you really expect us to believe that you are not obsessed with APple and contemplate them all day long? Ha, ha, ha |

#9 - for once i'll agree with you on the Security fixes for 10.2 - now they are behind on releasing them, and should have done so by now.
As for the 10.3 point releases - to me this is a good thing and is far from showing Panther in a bad light - its something Microsoft should do with OS releases - when bugs come up, fix them as soon as possible and get a patch out. Would you rather they went the Microsoft route and waited 6-9 months at a time per service pack? Of course not - well actually you will say that is fine, but in the real world it isn't. |
