Microsoft has thousands of job openings, but it laid off 161 employees in its consulting group on Monday, including 13 based in Redmond. It's the company's largest staff reduction since it folded its Ultimate TV division in California in January 2002, cutting 168 jobs. | ||

Ah, so THAT's why UTV Technical Support never responds to anyone any longer...
When my UTV box died, I really wanted to stick with UTV because I personally thing the software and user interface are overall superior to Tivo. But, they proved over the last year that they don't need any customers, so I let them go. What a shame... TL |

| TL, I've noticed that you've detailed a number of Microsoft purchases where you "gave them a shot" and they failed and you "reluntantly moved on". You aren't just setting yourself up as a conscientious critic, are you? |

Yeah, I've always considered techlarry to be a simple disillusioned mac user. And in my experience (as an ex-mac-zealot)... there's hope for many of those poor unfortunates that have been taken advantage of by apple. This post was edited by mooresa56 on Friday, June 27, 2003 at 18:42. |
