#5: You're right...the registry started with Win95 as a way to consolidate all of the .ini files that applications installed for their preferences, etc.
It's obviously "Registry Mechanic for Windows" version "1.01". I'm hoping (and assuming) that the confusion is misplaced sarcasm, otherwise.... |

Regclean...check the zdnet site.
For win95/98/NT, and its from 1998.... I don't know what it will screw up, but I don't want to try it on my WinXP pro systems. I know the registry is similar in those systems (95/98/ME/2k/XP) but similar enough? |

| Cthulhu, Why is it bad to ask for something? Last time that I check it was still a free country. If someone has it and dont' want to give it then that is their choice. I am free to ask, unless you want to prove otherwise. If someone posted the key and ActiveWin removed it because it violated the usage terms then that is a different story. But am I am free to ask. |

RedHook - Like jimlat said, it wasn't really written for XP.
I haven't had much luck with Regclean anyway. The biggest problem I've seen is registry fragmentation. Although that was more of a problem on slower machines with less ram(P166 with 64 Megs a few years ago). |

How much is activewin making for advertising this program? I also see an ad for this program on the main page. Doesn't seem like news to me, seems like advertising.
