Byron posted his review for Enter the Matrix. Here is an excerpt:
Enter the Matrix seems to have been on the cards for a long time now, when the game was first announced nearly 2 years ago I had high hopes that it might turn out to be one of the first movie licensees since the C-64 days that actually played well.
One of the big draws for the Enter the Matrix game is the movie footage shot and edited specifically for it, now don’t get me wrong, I think the Matrix was an excellent movie. But here we have what seems like a quick put together that no one who hasn’t seen both films will properly understand, and even those who have seen it may still think that the story zips by too fast.

Overall Score 50.5%
Xbox Live! Enabled? No
Once I heard the that film makers were getting involved in the game creation I knew that it would suck. those guys don't care about game play. Their only concern is movie tie and being true to the movie. The movie maker need to step back and the gamer makers do their thing. They should have used the Splinter Cell engine for game play instead.
Also, how can the Matrix game not be Xbox live enabled?

A businesses goal is to make money
I am sure that all agree with that statement but who is saying to sacrifice quality? After reading the reviews I didn't buy the game, which is my choice.

I am waiting for Tomb Raider "Angel of darkness". I never felt very compelled by Matrix; I liked the first movie and I think they could have put some efforts to create a better script for the sequel.

I enjoyed both part 1 and 2 of the Matrix, I agree that the Trance party in the center of the earth was a bit disturbing if that is our future. Everyone had perfect bodies and there were few old people.
back to the game..in general the movie makers figure that fans of the movie will buy the game anyway and if you are not a fan chances are you won't invest in it. Start Wars have lived off of that mentality for years. As long as you can play as a wookey the fans were happy.

I must be odd... because I actually like this game.
Its not the prettiest, and the sound isn't noticably great... but I had alot of FUN playing it. And I got a kick out of all the additional movie footage. It tells alot of the back-story and gives the movie considerbly more depth (character depth too).
To each his own...

Yeah i don't agree with Byron here. I thought it was a fun game that tied in well with the movie franchise. Granted its not halo but I think its better than a 50% rating...
Peace,
RA

"Well...I wondered about this then realized he was reviewing the PAL version? How about a REAL review with the 1080i resolution being used?"
I did review it the REAL way as I'm in the UK, it was a UK product on a UK Xbox, thus no 1080i, it gets reviewed the way it was meant to be reviewed...in my view as I have stated, there are good parts to the graphics, but after seeing it in 1080i, apart from a better resolution, in my eyes it is still pretty low down the graphic ladder.

I know for sure others like it, my brother enjoyed it, but I have to review it as it is, yeah its fun for a bit, but within 15 minutes i had seen everything, it didn't have depth, it went along far too fast, it was completed in a day of getting it (both characters), its graphics are pretty poor for an Xbox title, sound was ok, but it was clearly just put together in a rush as the music from the film was just all over the place in the game and not dynamic.

I noticed today that the U.K. game charts came out. And there was "Enter the Matrix" at #1 for the fifth straight week.
Somebody in the U.K. disagrees with you Byron.

It's number 1 everywhere, since when does being number 1 mean its good? Its based on a popular film, they knew before it came out it would sell well, thats why they shipped millions for the day of launch, anyone would know it would sell well no matter what people think.

Byron, that would explain them meeting their initial expectation of 2.5 million games selling. BUT they are on track to sell 4 million. That means somebody out there thinks this is a good game. In fact, an additional 1.5 million are being influenced by this good game... to the point of spending $50 a piece.
