Microsoft's connection to the anti-Linux campaign being waged by the SCO Group is becoming clear. In the latest move, Microsoft has stepped up the battle with an announced agreement to license SCO's Unix patents and the source code, describing the deal as a reflection of its "ongoing commitment to respecting intellectual property and the IT community's healthy exchange of IP through licensing." Nice rhetoric. | ||

Ahh, this article is written by Bruce Perens.
Perens is the self-proclaimed open source representative. The fact that he generally spreads FUD about Microsoft seems to have gone unnoticed in his zealotry. |

My favorite was this article from last month:
http://perens.com/Articles/Taylor/ Perens is complaining that some guy in Europe is a false representative of open source. But then apparently Perens doesn't understand that he himself is a self-proclaimed representative. |

Ahh, this comment was written by Steve Sheldon. Sheldon is the self-proclaimed Microsoft representative. The fact that he generally spreads FUD about the open source initiative seems to have gone unnoticed in his zealotry. #4 >>> Perens is complaining that some guy in Europe is a false representative of open source false or misled A true representative of open source can hardly support the concept of software patents, which is what Taylor did and was the foundation of Peren's real complaint against Taylor. No legitimate Open Source representative would think of taking this sort of position with government without first holding a public consultation with the developer community |
