Rounding out today's news is the rather abrupt cancellation of The Matrix Special Edition 2-disc set, originally announced for an April 29th release. Warner Home Video was mum on exact details as to why the release was shelved, a strange move only a mere few weeks before the highly-anticipated Memorial Day theatrical debut of the second in the blockbuster trilogy, The Matrix Reloaded. A Warner spokesperson did confirm, however, that there are future plans for the title, and that the June 3rd release of The Animatrix animated DVD collection will not be affected by the cancellation. | ||
