I personally think that the toolbar icons are a most excellent improvement over the older ones.
Additionally, the interface in Office 2003 when operating in a Windows XP Classic theme mode or in Windows 2000 looks VERY clean, without all the funky theme colors. However, the icons are the new ones that are implemented in this most recent Beta 2. |

| When I saw screenshots of beta 1, I thought the UI was pretty ugly. When I installed beta 2, I really liked it. There is a difference when you actually get to play around with it. Of course, that doesn't mean everyone who will play around with it will like it, but I think a lot of people will. A feature to go classic would be nice. |

Site management with Frontpage remains best of breed. My big beef with dreamweaver is how it manages its files. Something that Frontpage shines in.
The one new thing that Dreamweaver is just awesome at is their bottom pane which you can just type directly on. Its awesome. You can change css selectors on whatever you are hovering on. Change table widths etc... All from that bottom pane without having to drill down through lots of menus... Thanks for these Screen Shots ActiveWin! Peace, RA |

Yes, it was a separate download. InfoPath, OneNote, Publisher, Outlook Business Contact Manager, and SharePoint were also separate downloads. This is common knowledge to any MSDN Subscriber (who happened to see it) and it has been published on numerous sites, so it is no NDA violation to say so. |
