ActiveXbox: PS2 version of Splinter Cell to include extras | |

Yesterday, the news broke that the PlayStation 2 version of Splinter Cell will incorporate a variety of features not included on the Xbox. This, unsurprisingly, generated a lot of ill feelings from Xbox fans. While PS2 owners definitely have something to look forward to, Xbox owners need not despair: Xbox's Splinter Cell will be getting additional levels via Xbox Live (and from other sources, for those without the Live), as well as the possibility of more goodies a bit farther off. | ||

| Since PS2 version will not look as good as XBox or PC version, Ubi Soft had to throw in some extras. |

I want to see the pricing model for “Splinter Cell 1.5.” For those that own it I don't think that it would be fair if we had to pay full price.
And we have been waiting a very long time for that downloadable content. |

| The latest Official XBox Magazine mentioned that it is almost 100% sure there will be a Sprinter Cell 1.5 for XBox. |

This game will blow on the PS2... Check out the screenshots up on UBISoft... It looks horrible. They have to add stuff for the PS2 version otherwise noone would buy it.

AlmostFamousER, don't take my word for it... just listen to GameSpot in their latest preview. AND I QUOTE...
"the game looks surprisingly good, although it's noticeably inferior to the XBox version". The level of detail in the environments, characters, and objects is fairly decent, and the night-vision and thermal-imaging effects look about the same. The fantastic lighting effects seen in the Xbox version of the game look like they'll be at least similar in the PS2 version, albeit quite a bit less impressive." Hope you enjoyed your clue.
