AOL Time Warner Inc., the world's largest media company, on Wednesday posted a 2002 loss of nearly $100 billion, the largest annual loss in U.S. corporate history, after taking a whopping $45.5 billion charge in the fourth quarter to write down the value of assets. | ||

Well it's mostly these goodwill write-offs resulting from the loss of value of the companies post-merger.
Ted Turner should fight Steve Case on Celebrity Deathmatch. :) Actually I wonder what this is going to mean for the company... like what's going to change as they restructure. Will Netscape survive?
