Microsoft, Sun submit proposal on Java | |

Microsoft Corp. and Sun Microsystems Inc. agreed on a proposal for complying with a U.S. judge's order that Microsoft must include Sun's Java programming language in Windows, Sun said. Sun's lawyer delivered the proposal to the court, which was closed for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The proposal was received by U.S. District Judge J. Frederick Motz, said Lisa Poulson, a spokeswoman for Sun with Kirtland Enterprise Group. Poulson and Microsoft spokesman Jim Desler declined to comment on specifics of the proposal. | ||

#3 - I completely agree. It's only when MS does it that it's.....evil.
I guess I'm not really all that worried. Give it a few weeks (maybe days) after this goes out and there will be no end of sites with detailed instructions for removing this piece of tripe manually. |

The wording by the Judge was "for all the Windows XP and Internet Explorer that you sell", I wounder how MS is going to take that challenge? This post was edited by johnnyq on Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at 21:02. |

FinancialWiz - "To go along with that MS's version of the plugin should be removed and destroyed as a part of the remedy."
Microsoft tried to do that when they released Windows XP but all the ABMers whined endlessly about it. |
