How is monkey audio better? Faster? Smaller size?
But I do have to agree with Drestin, ultimately MP3 type compression will be immaterial. |

Totally disagree with you on 64 kbps WMA9 vs ogg or mp3pro #11 ... WMA9 is better hands down. Everything I have tried throwing at it... Classical, rock, opera, jazz and WMA9 is superior.
As for this article this rocks. We could see HD-DVD's much sooner than waiting for higher storage DVD's. Just use WMV9 compression. I think we will be seeing something along these lines eventually. I don't think that anyone can disagree with the fact that Windows Media 9 Series is truly awesome tech. |

| yu, perhaps you missed something. It is cheaper to license Windows Media formats than it is to license mp2 or mp4. If Microsoft submitted WMP9 to some standards group to make you happy and call it a standard, you'd still have to pay Microsoft licensing fees to use it. The same applies with m2 or mp4. |
