BELMONT, Calif. - Trolling the high-tech waters in search of the next big thing, legions of software entrepreneurs have learned, the hard way, to steer clear of Microsoft Corp.'s main turf: platforms for the personal computer. The overwhelming bulk of the profits from operating systems and office productivity software flows to Microsoft, which sets its own pace for improving those applications. | More vaporware. It is intresting that this 'project' is getting so much press, while nothing exist yet. It's no longer a matter of how well your application runs, just how well it is projected to run. |

| What was your point, soda? Kapor is an ardent capitalist and has never been ideological or extreme in his support of Open Source, and he is even planning to possibly package a paid version of the software. When did he say, "sodablue can't code for profit."? Curious. Or was your point that you can support OS without being a communist that is trying to deprive everyone of their money? Yeah, I agree. |

Domino is good.. Exchange is generally better (yes I have used the latest of both)
Domino is slightly cheaper, Exchange is more expensive.. yeah get what you pay for. but whatever floats your boat.. If the guy makes a great app that has just about universal combatabilty and is free.. or extremely low cost.. Great!! ...I'll try it.. But as it stands today like someone said.. it's just vaporware. |
