Apple must really want to get in Microsoft's face. That could be one reason Apple plans to open the first branded retail store north of San Francisco in the upscale Bellevue Square Mall, less than two miles from Bill Gates' Medina, Washington, mansion. | ||

#7 -- Why go through all that trouble (although that's funny, and reminds me of the time HHH stormed WCW), when Bill can just "buy them out" (Simpson's reference).
He could also casually snipe customers by walking around the store with a Tablet PC and/or Smart Display. Maybe even call Steve Jobs on the red phone behind the Apple help desk :-) |

| Am I the only one that sees what's wrong with this headline? Apple is going to open a store north of San Fransico (California) located just two miles from Bill Gates Medina (Washington) Mansion? Since when is the state of Washington less than two miles from San Francisco? And what the hell happened to Oregon? |

| Oh I get it now. The author meant to imply that this is Apple's first store north of SF in the general sense. That is very poor wording. It makes it sound as the store is, literally, north of San Francisco. Damn Wired journalists! :-) |

| parker, well I know I'd rather see a million of those Dell's sold than a million Macs. The less variety the end user has purchased, the easier a programmer's life is. :-) |
