OneNote, a new PC application expected to be introduced during a keynote address by Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates, is the Redmond, Wash.-based company's attempt to make it easy to transcribe quick notes, preserve URLs and easily find information on your hard drive. Conceptually, OneNote, expected to debut by the middle of next year, is similar to word processing, but it is intended for quick handling of short notes as opposed to long multipart documents, Microsoft said. This could be very handy for me if it does what I think it does.
BTW... Has anyone found a way around AW forgetting your login info? There seems to be no rhyme nor reason as to when it forgets it and makes you type it in again. This is the #1 thing I'd like to see fixed. Then again, it would not suprise me in the least if it turns out to be an IE 6 problem, given how lousy this browser is. TL |

ran93r - "reinventing the wheel" describes every new product on the planet. The most "innovative" product is really just a "reinvention". How else would you describe the Segway transporter?

Actually I'm somewhat excited by this, the tabletPC and other techs. We may be moving closer to my vision... that is a computer that works just like a whiteboard. i.e. i can draw things, position them easily, erase them, start over... without having to be so darned precise with my mouse.
It's more efficient for humans still to take notes on a piece of paper, then have someone transcribe them, than it is to sit there typing them up and moving stuff with a mouse. |

AeroSnoop, what do you do when you need to make a little drawing, or put an arrow on the document or something similar?
Exactly... and thats where Microsoft's new software will shine. |
