Shortly after one of Microsoft's key partners unceremoniously dumped its software for one made by Nokia, the company said it remains a player in the combination cell-phone and PDA smartphone market. In a move industry analysts called a "blow" and "stumble" into the marketplace by Microsoft, cell-phone maker Sendo scrapped plans to release a Microsoft-powered smartphone just days before it was due to launch. | ||

| Hmm, one hardware partner decides to go with Symbian and now the game is over for Microsoft? You've got to be kidding! Knowing Microsoft, they'd stay in the market if they had to manufacture cell phones themselves. |

I see those advertisements of O2 with their smartphone running windows all the time.
Never see an advertisement of Nokia promoting a simular phone. |

Game over man ...game over!!! For Sendo it is.
It was game over for Sendo in the beginning because they couldn't get their device to work with the OS, hence all of the delays. Their solution ...make MS look bad because Sendo knew that MS would not give them the codes if they ask of it ...which they did. Get this HTC (Orange) got their's up and running in a short time, and it is ready for prime time. Sounds to me that Sendo has some terrible programmers / engineers (that's just my opinion). I said it before and I'll said it again ...the OS is ready, and all what Sendo had to do was add their logo and other application that they want, but they just couldn't make it work. |

hello,
i do not mean to be rude so please do not take offense. firstly, america's mobile technology is not that compatible with the rest of world, as a matter of fact it is not at the same level as the rest of the world. in other words they do not have gsm nertworks through out the entire u.s. only in some major cities. secondly their coverage really sucks big time. As for sendo, they can easily combine their services to a worldwide standard that is already in place. as for this smartphone, i guess M$ want to try to launch 3G technology, but they have to realize that the world is not entirely "AMERICA" it is a part of this planet of ours!! now, before i moved to europe i use to think that america was the leader in technology, but since then i realized something it is just a buffed up lie. i was totally amazed at the mobile services over here in europe. maybe in a few years america will catch up. belto... |

ok, i said i do not want to offend anyone so please try to repsect that fact and europe is not dumping gsm! do you think that the rest of the world want to adopt the american piece of sh*t? maybe you are on some kind of drug!!!
beside's europe is not the world as well, they are a part of this planet of ours. now try to take this mind set and change it!! belto... |
