Microsoft Game Studios today announced that all the action-packed off-road racing in "RalliSport Challenge" for the PC is hitting retail shelves. Well, from my limited research so far, it ain't hitting anything yet.
But if the physics are nearly as good as the graphics are, then it should be fun! One concern I have is that I have yet to see a screenshot from within the car (In-Car View). I'm a firm believer that race drivers don't sit on their roofs when they drive, or fly behind their cars in Helicopters. And this is the main reason I dislike the vast majority of Console driving games. TL |

Well I was in Best Buy last week and bought it for my XBox. Unfortunately it's still in the box. :(
I also bought Age of Mythology, and I have to say I'm not incredibly impressed with it. They changed the game rules such that it's now mostly a freeforall than anything strategic. The map can't be quite as large, you can only place town centers at designated locations. Walls and towers are extremely weak and are useless for defense. There are no longer priests, so armies can only be healed when they are near temples. It's a very different game, but not necessarily for the better. |

The PC version was released after the XBOX version. XBOX has been out for a while.
One thing concerns me a bit. Moving a game from the XBOX to the PC has got to be one of the easiest conversions there is. I just hope they actually brought it up to the quality and level of a PC before declaring it done. To get just a simple cross-port from the XBOX would be highly dissapointing. TL |
