About 100,000 Brother International Corp. multifunction printers are being voluntarily recalled because they can overheat and possibly ignite, U.S. safety regulators and the New Jersey firm said on Tuesday.

The recalled laser printers are beige or putty in color, with model numbers HL-1040, HL-1050 and HL-1060. The multi-function printer being recalled is the model number MFC-P2000.
The printers were sold for between $300 and $700 from June 1997 until December 2000.
