| AGAIN!? You've gotta be kidding me. This is the 3rd time, isn't it (about Neowin)...? Bah, their hit counter must've gotten low again. Ridiculous. I just wish they'd shut down so I don't have to hear their self-pity parties on every other news site on the net. |

#7: Actually, AWin and NeoWin kinda reached an understanding. Since the news they both post is very similar, there's bound to be overlap and appearances of copying.
It's a fact that when some people submit news, they submit to both NeoWin and ActiveWin, so it's just a matter of who reads the email and posts it first, but the source is the same. There was a big misunderstand between the two where NeoWin accused AWin of copying, and AWin was miffed because they felt NeoWin had been copying AWin for quite awhile. |

JWM: No, they've closed two other times before. Once where they posted a shutdown notice, then after getting attention changed it to a temporary notice. They were back up for a few days, then they went down hard for a couple weeks. Came back up, lasted about a month and well... now we're back there again.
My experience is that PHP-Nuke sites tend to attract only 12 year olds. I don't know what it is, but a couple of automobile forums like autopia.ws behave nearly the same way. |
