Proclaiming their optimization for AMD's new Athlon XP 2800+ and 2700+ CPUs and faster 333MHz front-side bus, Nvidia Corp. has announced that its second-generation nForce2 platform processors -- the term Nvidia prefers to "chipsets" -- are now in production, with motherboard and performance PC partners including Abit, ABS, Alienware, ASUSTeK, Atlas Micro, Chaintech, Epox, Falcon Northwest, HyperSonic, Leadtek, MSI, Shuttle Computer, Soltech, Totally Awesome, and Vicious PC expected to ship nForce 2-based, AMD Athlon XP-powered retail products later this month. | ||
