Unauthorized biography of Steve Ballmer turns up little new | |

It's tough writing an unauthorized biography, and even tougher when the subject runs one of the most closed-off companies in America. That's the task Fredric Alan Maxwell undertook in "Bad Boy Ballmer," due out Tuesday. The book is as successful as it could be considering Maxwell's lack of access. Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer declined to be interviewed for the book, as did virtually every other current and former top officer at the company. | ||

| I hear Grant, Lee, McAuthor, Washington, and Lincoln got pretty angry at times too. That trait doesn't necessarily make you bad. It can be rather uplifting really. It shows he is emotionally invested in the company. |

Halcyon, try reading World War 3.0 or Breaking Windows: how Bill Gates fumbled the future of Microsoft. Both books are very interesting and definately not what you generally see in the press about Microsoft.

| Oh, halcyon, with World War 3.0, make sure you get the latest edition. It includes info about the appeal and thru the end of 2001 (or close to the end anyway). |
