| The best keyboard that MS ever made was their first natural keyboard. I think that it's called Elite 1.0 anything that came after is pure crap. |

Soda...
I think that's a bit broad of a statement. I use the split keyboards because I have gotten used to it and it really keeps my hands/arms from hurting. In fact it would be very hard to use the split keyboards unless you can actually type. Anyway... i'm pumped for all of these keyboards as long as they don't munch batteries. |

They really should base all new keyboards on the Office Keyboard, and enhance/grow the line from there.
I even use these on my Mac. They are superb. TL |

| follow up, what's cool about the elite 1.0 is that the flap to raise it is in the front and not in the back. Why would you want to raise the back? And that big space bar is great. Over the course of 4 jobs I have pilferred 4 (replace them with regular keyboards). So I have a stock pile that should last me the atleast 10 years. I only wish that they were wireless. |

| This is cool, although I would like a black version as well as the beige. It just doesn't match my microsoft mouse. Maybe the same coloring as their mouse would be good. . . |

| I like both split and together keyboards - I used to think all i would use was the Natural one - but I now have the Microsoft Internet Keyboard and don't really notice much difference strain wise (although might do in 10 years time) |

Ok, now out of all the people responding that the split keyboard is good... How many of you do over 100 wpm? If not, have you considered maybe if you had good typing posture that might solve your complaints? First step, your wrists should be raised.
I find it impossible to use the split keyboard and have good typing posture, as it encourages you to be lazy. Byron - That's because the new internet keyboard has good key switches, just like the new office keyboard. Nice soft touch, good positive feedback. TechLarry - Agreed, I bought an extra one to bring in and use at work they are so good. Although I've noticed mine is beginning to wear out a bit after only one year. I think because I play RTCW too much, as it's mainly the space bar and z, x, c keys giving me problems. :-) But they are cheap, so replacing the keyboard isn't too much of a pain. |

Soda-
How many people anywhere type 100 wpm? The split keyboard encourages good typing habits. You have to use good posture to even type on the thing... People that don't like the split design generally don't type correctly in the first place. This keyboard forces you to type correctly. Trade Wind - I am with you man. Give me the Wireless Office Natural Multimedia Keyboard Pro (How is that for the name of a product?). Hmmm maybe thats why they haven't released something like that. . . Too hard to market it with a name that long . . . |
